Once More Into the Breach!

Oog.

Wasn't able to come to work yesterday because my kidney was acting up again that morning. Apparently, my stone episode last August wasn't over yet: an ultrasound check at the hospital revealed a small obstruction was putting pressure near my groin area.

Yes, there was some pain, like someone trying to crush my right ball.

It eventually passed but not before I had to take a couple of painkillers on an empty stomach. This left me feeling dazed and queasy for the whole day. Feeling better now but I still have to consult a specialist tomorrow.

*sigh*

Dammit, I feel so old.

P.S. On another note, it seems like my computer in the office has crashed once more. Shit, there goes a whole load of downloads and files down the drain.

Wow. I hope it all gets sorted out, O rapidly-aging cat!

Now, this 'old' feeling, is it in human years or cat years? ;) I do wish you a speedy recovery with no more feelings of testicular torture.

Heh thanks people. The pain's out but I still get a bitty dizzy every now and then. Woo, that Tramal's pretty strong. As for the possible stone thing, gah, it seems like I have to take a CT scan to determine what the obstruction really is. Then I can find out what to do about it. Weird, neh?

oh yeh, tramal's insane. some years ago i carried around a few capsules of that (free stuff from med reps) in my bag. i don't know; i must've had this fear of suddenly being attacked by severe pain, or maybe a subconscious wish that i be struck by pain so i could take it.

but when i had surgery last year, my surgeon only gave me ponstan. what a loser. ;)

whoof. tramal's one a' them opioids. dude, yer an opium fiend now! like that dude from from hell, or harold and kumar or jay and silent bob (ok, so the last four dudes weren't on opium, but still), or, hey, house...

on a more useful note, tramal is safe on an empty stomach (see how house pops vicodin?--which isn't tramal but an opioid nonetheless), but you CAN expect nausea, dizziness and vomiting (whether or not you take it with food) being the most common side effects.

Hehe nice to know that if I need some medical advice, I can run to some people.

paul: My mum also got some pieces just in case but I'm kinda wary about taking any. At the least, I won't be taking 2 all at once. (I also know someone who's an expert on tranqs and she tells me Tramal is the strongest on the market as of present.)

skinny: Oh, so even though I didn't have anything in my stomach, I'd still get the same result? Yikes, that's scary. As for being an opium fiend, where's my pipe, dammit! (You forgot Alan Quatermain of LXG fame.)
