Year-End Status Report
Being a year older, I've discovered:
-- I feel like I'm running out of time. Currently, I have a small stone obstructing my right kidney while a benign cyst is resting on my left. I never thought I'd live forever but I thought I'd give it a shot. At the very least, I have a very loooong backlist of books I still haven't read.
-- I'm slowly getting the hang of writing and getting my "children" out into the world. Three stories for this year and four all in all ain't a bad record, right? Hopefully, I can up the ante a bit, what with one deadline for submissions this December 15 and another by January next year. Unfortunately, I haven't done any serious writing at the moment which means-- again-- that I'm running out of time.
-- A number of my friends are getting married next year. Geez, talk about putting the pressure on. I'm still batting for a near date with [identity-protected]. Times like these make me think that life needs several kicks to get it started. (Hopefully, it won't kick back too much.)
-- If I buy anymore books, I'm going to be buried in to-be-read-books until the next millennium. But there's so much damn stuff out there and I'm not getting any younger. *sigh*
-- I've managed to get a hang of my finances for the moment, but I still need some discipline in controlling the money outflow. Dammit, nobody ever told me that being an adult means juggling priorities like a clown. And the books thing isn't helping. *double sigh*
...So, on to the next year...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
Hehe nice try but it's not December 1. But thanks. ;-)
Hay, same sentiments as mine, banzai cat! So many books that need my attention... so little time :(
Hey sasha! Welcome aboard! Yep, I know what you mean. I kinda have a theory that I can live forever by having a big backlist of books I haven't read. Something like outa Scheherzade's story. Let's see if this works!
offtopic: just blog hopping! care to ex links?
Hey man! A group effort, eh? :-)
Belated Happy Birthday, Joey. :)
Hop to it, boy! Pull out that ring, get down on your knees and pop the question already.

Hehe, maybe next year.
I've heard that before! ;-)
