A Wince-worthy Moment
Yeesh.
I was trying to finish a story for fantasist Jeff Vandermeer's upcoming pirate anthology, believing the deadline was this January 15. Trust me when I say I was really rushing to do the job.
However, a check at his website revealed that instead of January 15, the actual deadline for submissions was February 28. Aside from feeling idiotic, I was left wondering: where did I get the idea that the deadline was this middle of January?
Anyway, back to the grind...

not from me dude...though it may be possible i nudged the 'deadline in yer head' in the wrong(?) direction by wanting to get me own story outta me head early so i can focus on other things...
good luck on yours. if you need a beta-reader, you know who to bug about it. squids for squos and all that.
