When the Books Get Going, the Cat Goes Shopping

Well, that was the case with Powerbooks' ongoing warehouse sale (up to this Sunday actually).

Pretty large selections too-- took me two days to ensure that I didn't miss a good buy. And with discounts ranging up to 70 percent, everything is a good buy.

To wit, I managed to get:

Total price? A thousand bucks. Heh.

The hardbound Miller book was actually the best buy of the bunch since I heard the publisher, ibooks, had already collapsed after the death of its head, Byron Preiss. This rules out the possibility of a cheaper trade or pocketbook version.
