Imagine a thief stole from you but was caught by the cops. Imagine that the thief was being brought in, you saw the cops rough him up. How would you feel about that? Would you feel a moral outrage? Or would you feel a certain sense of vengeful satisfaction? Or something else?

To add some spice to the broth, what if the thief was a disabled person? How would you feel then?
