October Books
Finally, my book-buying drought had ended for October such that I've managed to get quite a pile for the past month. And quite a selection too, ranging from new books bought from Fully-Booked to the recent National Bookstore warehouse sale to Jasper's online bookshop Avalon.
The pile includes:
- Thomas Disch's The Sub
- Steven Hall's The Raw Shark Texts
- Avram Davidson's Adventure in Unhistory
- Lisa Goldstein's Dark Cities Underground
- Jonathan L. Howard, Johannes Cabal the Necromancer
- Escher on Escher: Exploring the Infinite
- N.K. Jemisin, The Hundred Thousand Kingdoms
- Mark Charan Newton, Nights of Villjamur
- John Le Carre, The Tailor of Panama
As you've noticed, the range here includes the usual genre fantasy, non-genre, horror, art non-fiction, and even spy thriller. Yes, we needs our books.
