October Books

Finally, my book-buying drought had ended for October such that I've managed to get quite a pile for the past month. And quite a selection too, ranging from new books bought from Fully-Booked to the recent National Bookstore warehouse sale to Jasper's online bookshop Avalon.

The pile includes:
  1. Thomas Disch's The Sub
  2. Steven Hall's The Raw Shark Texts
  3. Avram Davidson's Adventure in Unhistory
  4. Lisa Goldstein's Dark Cities Underground
  5. Jonathan L. Howard, Johannes Cabal the Necromancer
  6. Escher on Escher: Exploring the Infinite
  7. N.K. Jemisin, The Hundred Thousand Kingdoms
  8. Mark Charan Newton, Nights of Villjamur
  9. John Le Carre, The Tailor of Panama
As you've noticed, the range here includes the usual genre fantasy, non-genre, horror, art non-fiction, and even spy thriller. Yes, we needs our books.
