5, 4, 3, 2, 1... Book Launches!
Well, even as life is passing me by, a couple of friends are launching their new books in the next few weeks.
First up is this Saturday with Karl "MF" de Mesa kicking off his new second book of horror stories, News of the Shaman (Visprint) at Bookay-ukay in Quezon City. Expect bands, good people and weirdness to follow in his footsteps.
Afterwards, Carljoe Javier will come out with his second-- self-published!-- collection of essays called The Kobayashi Maru of Love (The Youth and Beauty Brigade) which is really a geek's guide to love, loss and geekhood. The launch will be on September 6 at Ilyong's Restaurant in Quezon City as well.
